Lake Conroe Park

Located on the western shoreline of Lake Conroe, Lake Conroe Park spans 13 acres. Park amenities include picnicking facilities, barbecue pits, restrooms, swimming areas and fishing piers. The park has two covered pavilions for rent, which are great for large group gatherings. There are also volleyball play areas and a softball field.

The swimming area has shoreline that is roped off to prohibit boat and jet-ski entry. No lifeguards are on duty. Alcohol is not permitted on the park grounds. Park admission is only $5 per person. Children 5 and younger are admitted to the park at no charge. Dogs are not permitted on the park grounds.

Park visitors have prime spots for picnicking and grilling out. It has attractive spots overlooking the lake and underneath the tall pine trees. The park, which is a day-use facility, is located conveniently near campgrounds, hiking and biking trails and other recreational areas. It is also a short drive from dining, shopping, historic sites and other sites of interest.

Montgomery County has several recreational areas for visitors that provide a vast array of activities to choose from. The park is also a great place to watch wildlife and for bird watching as well. During the winter months, bald eagles migrate to the area so it provides excellent viewing opportunities.

Reservations are required for the pavilions. To make reservations, contact the Montgomery County Commissioner Precinct 1 at (936) 539-7815. You may also call the commissioner to get the current rental fees.
